A major worldwide and popular brand  is plagued by counterfeits in the market. The main problem was that many consumers and officials could not tell the difference between the genuine and counterfeit product until there is a malfunction due to substandard quality, or safety issues. A technology start up in the field of online radiological services through use of in-house developed software solution that could not be protected by a patent. NAL developed an Intellectual Property Strategy for the start-up based on protection of the software under copyright and trade secret laws in a number of countries, as well as investing in a brand and trademark registration in 9 countries.
